EVHS | Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme
Once referred to as the OLEV grants, the government has now changed the terminology of charge point grants to OZEV - standing for the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (as opposed to Low Emission Vehicles).
Who Is The
Grant For?
Available to those who own an electric or hybrid vehicle in CITY, the main aim of the grant is to support those making the switch to electric cars by presenting them with a grant to claim back up to £350 from the cost of purchasing and installing a charge point for their home. Based on the understanding that most electric vehicle owners are charging their vehicles primarily at home, the grant is a government investment into making it easier for people to switch to electric or hybrid vehicles, and thus help the UK meet its energy conservation commitment.
For homeowners looking to claim the grant, it is important to only partner with OZEV-approved installers. Here’s how you’ll know if you are eligible to apply.
To Qualify,
You Will Need:
- An eligible electric or plug-in hybrid
- An OZEV-approved installer
- Access to off-street parking
- A UK property
If you meet all of the above requirements, you are entitled to one charge point grant per eligible vehicle in your possession - or up to two charge points per household.
How Do I Apply?
If you tick all of the eligibility boxes, then there is no need for you to apply - COMPANY NAME in CITY will do everything for you. All you need is the documents that prove you are in possession of an electric vehicle, either owned or leased.
Is My Vehicle Eligible?
All full-battery electric vehicles are eligible, and so are hybrid plug-in vehicles with a CO2 emission score of less than 75g/km. You can find a full list of eligible vehicles on the OZEV site.
